TVR is back, baby!

After 11 years of downtime, the famed British sports car manufacturer is back with another Griffith.

The new TVR Griffith takes its name from a model from the 1990s.

It sports a carbon fiber chassis that keeps its curb weight to a light-enough 2,755 pounds.

Under the hood is a 5.0-liter, Cosworth-massaged V8 putting out about 500 horsepower.

It’ll hit 60 mph in less than 4.0 seconds, and it’ll surpass 200 mph with enough room.

It also has sidepipes, which is the coolest part of the whole package.

The interior is a leatherbound affair with only a few key switches for the driver to manipulate.

If you’re looking for advanced driver aids here, you’re looking in the wrong place.

When it goes on sale in 2018, the TVR Griffith Launch Edition will start at £90,000 (or about $118,915), with its base model coming in slightly below that later on.
